Suzanne Marie Kelly

I have a passion for creating art, and love painting and printmaking. My dream as a young child was to be an artist. I am very blessed, my dream has come true. From an early age my mother knew that art would be a path I would choose. She would say "What special hands God gave me, they are artist hands". This has remained with me, never to leave. I feel alive when I am creating my art.

I try to incorporate a timeless quality to my pieces, from the colors of vanilla to deep, bittersweet chocolate. I think this gives my work a richness and a sense of romantic antiquity. I am intrigued with the past, this has been much of my influence. I love to draw inspiration from beautiful items, religious themes, symbols and quotes as my subject matter. Patterns of damask, leopard print and Fluer de lis, can be found in my art as part of my signature.
